We are currently seeking a reliable and caring Care Home Kitchen Assistant to support our dedicated catering team. Care Home Kitchen Assistant – Position Details:
1. Rate of Pay: In line with the national minimum wage
2. Location: Burton on Trent, DE15 (Please consider travel times, including on weekends, before applying)

Shift Pattern: (repeats on a two-week rotation)
4. Hours: 8:00am – 6:00pm
5. Week 1: Monday, Thursday, Friday
6. Week 2: Monday, Saturday, Sunday
Key Responsibilities:
As a Kitchen Assistant, you will work alongside our Cooks to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment and assist in the preparation and serving of meals. Your duties will include:
7. Maintaining a hygienic kitchen and dining area
8. Keeping accurate records of food supplies, temperatures and schedules
9. Ensuring high standards of cleanliness and safety at all times
10. Following statutory Health & Safety and Food Hygiene regulations
11. Cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment
12. Reporting any faults or issues promptly
We are looking for someone who is caring, friendly, and has good communication skills. Experience in a kitchen or food preparation role is beneficial, as is a valid Food Hygiene Certificate.
