You'll advise on employee relations, recruitment, and development while ensuring compliance with employment legislation and best practice. About the Role
In this role, you will be responsible for providing HR support across various functions, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and enhancing the employee experience.
Responsibilities
* Employee Relations & Policy
* Provide first-line advice to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and employment law.
* Support the resolution of employee relations issues, including disciplinary, grievance, capability, and absence management.
* Prepare and review HR documentation such as contracts, letters, and reports.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.
* Recruitment & Onboarding
* Support end-to-end recruitment, including drafting job descriptions, advertising roles, shortlisting, interviewing, and issuing offer letters and contracts.
* Coordinate onboarding, induction, and probation reviews to ensure a positive new starter experience.
* Performance & Development
* Support the implementation of performance management processes, appraisals, and development plans.
* Advise on training and development needs, working with managers to identify opportunities.
* HR Operations & Compliance
* Maintain accurate HR records and ensure data protection compliance.
* Produce HR reports and metrics to inform decision-making.
* Assist with the development and review of HR policies and procedures.
* Projects & Change
* Support organisational change and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
* Previous experience as a HR Advisor
* Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
Required Skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and maintain confidentiality.
* Strong IT and HR systems skills.
Preferred Skills
* CIPD Level 5 or working towards.
* Experience in Manufacturing.
