Job Title: Electrical Supervisor

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Supervisorto join a well established M&E Contractor who arebased in the West Midlands.
As the successfulSupervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the installationof electrical systems and equipment including lighting, power, alarms,CCTV etc. on a large, fast paced commercial/industrialproject in Reading. You can therefore either be based in Reading or the West Midlands. Full allowance & accommodation will beprovided if you are Midlandsbased.
Day to day youwill work closely with a team of electricians to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget. You will have a strong background in electrical systems and possess excellent leadership and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise a team of electricians and provide guidance, training, and support as needed
- Plan and schedule work assignments for the team, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget
- Review and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and other technical documents
- Inspect work sites to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the installation or maintenance of electrical systems
- Coordinate with other departments and contractors to ensure smooth and efficient project completion
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and hours worked by the team
- Keep up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in electrical technology and equipment
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within the electrical department
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical systems installation
- Proven experience in a supervisory role, with strong leadership and communication skills
- In-depth knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, such as blueprints and schematics
- Proficient in using electrical testing equipment and troubleshooting techniques
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Experience working with commercial &industrial projects
