Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Bank Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with children in a nursery setting. The Nursery Practitioner will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children, promoting their development through play and structured activities. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with parents, colleagues, and management.
Duties
* Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
* Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
* Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to track their development.
* Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social skills and emotional growth.
* Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
* Collaborate with team members to create a supportive and inclusive nursery environment.
* Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
* Ensure the nursery is clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
Requirements
* Proven experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
* A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is highly desirable.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, to engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
* Ability to work as part of a team while also being capable of taking initiative when required.
* A valid driving licence is preferred but not essential for this role.
* A genuine passion for childcare and the ability to create a positive learning environment for young children.
* Flexible and reliable.
