Based: Covering Scotland (50% Glasgow Office, 50% on the field)
Escape Recruitment Services Commercial Division is recruiting for our client, a successful FMCG manufacturing organisation based in Glasgow. We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Sales Manager to join them on a permanent basis. This role operates in a fast-paced, demanding but buoyant market.
This role involves new business generation, selling bespoke B2B product solutions, developing relationships, and account management activities. You will split your time between the Glasgow office and the field, attending meetings, events, and generating business.
Responsibilities Include
1. Deliver sales volume and margin targets for existing and new customer accounts
2. Develop and maintain relationships with customers
3. Manage demand forecast for your accounts
4. Attend and lead customer account review meetings
5. Support and advise on New Product Development
6. Raise new customer enquiries using the CRM system
7. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure high customer service levels
8. Develop and implement customer account plans aligned with company objectives
9. Achieve KPIs such as call rates, enquiry conversion, and customer meetings
10. Coordinate margin improvement and cost reduction initiatives
11. Support production to improve productivity through design changes
12. Monitor market and competitor activities to inform strategy
Background Required
1. Previous sales and/or account management experience, preferably in manufacturing, supply chain, or FMCG markets
2. Experience delivering client-focused solutions and bespoke sales proposals
3. Ability to develop strong customer relationships
4. Proven track record of exceeding sales and KPI targets
5. Strong numerical and commercial skills, including margin calculations and cost quotations
6. Highly motivated with a drive to succeed
7. Willing to work cross-functionally to ensure quality and service
8. Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
9. Proficient IT skills: MS Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
10. Full UK driving license is essential
