Our client is seeking a low latency specialist Java developer to develop the integration layer between a FIX pricing engine and a trading platform for FX, MM & Commodities. The ideal candidate is a skilled software engineer with hands-on experience with tools related to Enterprise Java application development, including:
* BitBucket/Git Flow
* SonarQ
* TeamCity
* IntelliJ
* Jira
* Containerisation
* Low latency & high performance tuning
* Experience building integrations with multi-dealer platforms such as FX Connect Global Link or similar client trading systems for asset managers and institutional clients
* At least 5 years of Java software development experience
* Over 5 years of experience in high-performance e-trading systems, including code analysis, performance tuning, and profiling of low latency, high-volume systems
* Proficiency in core server-side implementations using low latency design principles and data structures in multi-threaded applications
* Experience with lock-free programming and zero object creation paradigms
* Knowledge of protocol buffers, messaging, and distributed cache technologies
* Experience developing robust, high-performance APIs (REST, FIX) with best practices in architecture, configuration, and capacity planning
* Understanding of FX, Commodities, Rates, eFX markets, trading practices, and algorithmic trading
* Experience with big data technologies focusing on data analytics and statistical modeling
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain a robust, high-performance component adhering to best practices in architecture, configuration, and capacity planning
* Identify and implement performance improvements
* Conduct comprehensive testing of software versions, including unit, regression, and system integration testing, along with test plan development, result analysis, and back testing in market conditions
* Manage technical relationships with external electronic market technology teams and internal development and connectivity teams
