Overview - what will the internships involve? Pragmatic is delighted to be offering a number of internship opportunities for the summer of 2024 and is welcoming applications from talented, positive people to join us. The paid internships will last for 12 weeks (starting in early July) and will provide excellent practical experience within a very fast-paced, growing company. Internships can be based either in the North East (Operations - Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Research and Development teams) or in Cambridge (IC Design, Digital/ASIC Design, PDK/Design Platform, Layout, Test Development, Commercial, Corporate Services teams). We have a strong track record of hosting successful interns previously, with a high percentage subsequently joining us permanently once they have finished their studies. We are committed to offering internships that are fun, challenging and rewarding, which provide an invaluable insight into how a semiconductor company operates. Interns will benefit from the support of a dedicated line manager and will be working both within their own teams and cross-functionally in order to support the company's objectives. What are we looking for? Above all, we are looking for people with a positive, proactive attitude. People who enjoy problem-solving and working well both individually and in teams in order to overcome obstacles and execute projects. We value people with a curious mindset and a genuine willingness to learn about our technology. As a people-focussed business, we value excellent communication skills and encourage collaboration across the company; as well as people who will contribute positively to our culture. Ideally you will be studying, or will have successfully completed, a degree in a relevant subject such as Physics, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or Chemistry (for technical roles - although we will be happy to receive applications from other disciplines too). What will Pragmatic offer? An excellent opportunity to gain practical, hands-on experience within a highly innovative company during a very exciting period of growth and scale-up A values-based culture with an emphasis on people and collaboration A positive, collaborative environment alongside other interns The opportunity to thrive in a diverse culture with the help of a hugely supportive team Competitive salary Please note, we are only able to accept applications from people with existing right to work in the UK (e.g. British and Irish Citizens, Student Visa, Postgraduate Visa etc.) and people who will be able to be based within commutable distance of our Sedgefield, Durham or Cambridge sites for the duration of the internship.
