Detailed job description and main responsibilities The post holder will provide and manage pharmaceutical services to the Specialist Care Division & West London Children's Healthcare Directorate in accordance with the needs of the Division. Along with working with senior clinicians on determining medicines related cost pressures for the Specialist Care Division & West London Children's Healthcare Directorate. The post holder will also monitor and review prescribing practice within the Specialist Care Division & West London Children's Healthcare Directorate and to work with clinicians to ensure effective, safe, evidence based and cost effective prescribing. Person specification Essential and desirable Essential criteria Vocational master's degree in Pharmacy (or equivalent) completion of pre-registration training Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council of Great Britain Postgraduate diploma in Clinical Pharmacy Practice (or equivalent general experience) Significant specialist experience in delivering Paediatric (or neonatal) services at an advanced level of practice Significant specialist experience in delivering maternity services at an advanced level of practice Experience of delivering education and training at a post-graduate level Supervision of others Desirable criteria Registered independent Pharmacist prescriber Clinical Audit to improve practice Staff management TPN Education and Training in a multidisciplinary environment Important The closing date given is a guide only.
