This permanent Teacher of Design & Technology role is an exciting opportunity for a committed educator to join a diverse, ambitious, and inclusive secondary school in Leeds, starting September 2025. Essential Requirements
* QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
* Eligibility to work in the UK.
* Excellent knowledge of the D&T curriculum
* An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

* Practical skills in materials, electronics, or textiles
* Creative and innovative approach to teaching
* Strong communication and collaboration skills
* Ability to assess and provide constructive feedback
* Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging D&T lessons across KS3-KS4
* Support students in developing creative, technical, and practical expertise
* Guide students through the design process: research, ideation, creation, evaluation
* Promote the safe use of tools, equipment, and machinery
* Use data to assess progress and adapt teaching strategies
* Create stimulating and safe learning environments
* Foster curiosity, risk-taking, and innovation in pupils
* Collaborate with colleagues in cross-curricular projects
* Work with technician(s) to ensure smooth lesson delivery
* Communicate effectively with parents/carers on pupil progress
