Who we are

At Homes2Inspire, we believe every child deserves the chance to thrive. We are one of the UK’s leading providers of children’s residential care, with a proud history of delivering innovative, high-quality services that put children at the centre of everything we do. Our team is built on values of care, integrity, and ambition, and we are committed to helping every young person we support to feel safe, valued, and inspired about their future.

About Homes and Horizons

This isn’t just another children’s home role. Homes and Horizons is a groundbreaking partnership between Somerset Council, CAMHS, the NHS, and Homes2Inspire. Together, we are reshaping residential childcare to provide something truly different: homes that combine stability, education, and therapeutic care so children can begin to heal from trauma and build brighter futures.

By joining this project, you’ll be part of a multi-agency approach where residential staff, mental health professionals, and local authority teams work hand in hand. This means you’ll have access to specialist training, ongoing clinical support, and the opportunity to make an even greater impact on the lives of young people.

What does the role involve?

As a Children’s Residential Support Worker, you’ll be part of a team providing round-the-clock care for children aged 8–18. No two days will look the same, but every day will matter.

You’ll be:

1. A role model – showing young people through your actions what trust, respect, and healthy relationships look like.
2. A supporter of daily life – helping with school routines, cooking, activities, and bedtime, creating a safe and structured environment.
3. An encourager of growth – introducing hobbies, celebrating milestones, and nurturing new skills to build confidence and independence.
4. A calm presence in tough moments – supporting children through big emotions and challenges with consistency and compassion.
5. A memory maker – sharing the small, joyful moments that give young people a sense of belonging, from movie nights to days out.

You’ll also be involved in record-keeping, liaising with social workers and health professionals, and contributing to care plans that put the child at the heart of decision-making.

What we’re looking for

You don’t need prior experience in residential childcare we provide full training. What matters most is your resilience, empathy, and determination to make a difference.

6. A full UK driving licence (essential)
7. Flexibility to work 2 on / 4 off shift pattern, including long days and sleep-ins
8. The right to work in the UK (we are unable to offer visa sponsorship)
9. A calm, consistent, and positive approach
10. A genuine passion for supporting young people to succeed

Why join Homes2Inspire?

At Homes2Inspire, you’ll never just be “another support worker.” You’ll be part of a respected national organisation that values its people, invests in their development, and offers genuine progression opportunities. Many of our managers began their journey as support workers, and with us, your career can grow as you grow.

What we offer:
