We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the site engineering team at a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving engineering excellence across capital projects, asset lifecycle management, equipment reliability, automation, and health & safety. This role requires strong leadership to develop and manage a high-performing team, deliver CAPEX projects on time and budget, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and develop the site engineering team, fostering continuous improvement and technical excellence.
* Manage the delivery of capital projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives, timelines, and budgets.
* Implement and maintain robust preventive maintenance and asset management programs to optimize equipment utilization.
* Drive safety culture and ensure all engineering activities comply with GMP, HSE, and internal standards.
* Collaborate with site leadership to develop and execute a 3-5 year CAPEX strategy and engineering master plan.
* Facilitate communication and knowledge sharing within the site, cluster, and global engineering teams.
* Oversee third-party contractors and service providers to ensure quality and compliance.
* Lead initiatives for process improvements, technology adoption, and operational efficiency.
Candidate Profile:
* Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in engineering leadership roles within pharmaceutical or similar regulated industries.
* Strong technical expertise in manufacturing, packaging, utilities, and automation engineering.
* Proven track record in CAPEX project management, TPM implementation, and preventive maintenance strategies.
* In-depth knowledge of GMP, GAMP 5, CSV, and regulatory compliance related to engineering activities.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
* Engineering degree (BEng, M.Sc., or equivalent); PMP or equivalent project management certification is desirable.
* Proficient in IT systems such as SAP and CMMS.
* Fluent in English; additional languages advantageous.
