Main duties of the job
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Tissue Viability Nurse to join the Specialist Tissue Viability Team to provide a specialist service across the organisation. You will work as part of a highly motivated and proactive tissue viability team which is able to provide professional and personal development opportunities and offer appropriate support for this post. You will have an active role in all aspects of wound care management within the Trust, including audits, pressure ulcer management and reporting, prescribing and leading on training programs and managing projects for all aspects of tissue viability.
Are you ready for the next level in your career? You may have a Tissue Viability qualification or an equivalent knowledge of tissue viability issues and a determination to improve the care of patients across all areas of the Trust, this includes the acute and community.

After you complete this four and a half days of training you will be able to explore further leadership and improvement training opportunities, we offer further in-house courses dependent upon your role and bitesize programmes and leadership apprenticeships at level 3,5 and 7.

5. Registered Nurse
6. Degree in nursing studies or healthcare related subject, or evidence of working towards degree completion.
7. Mentorship Certificate or demonstratable equivalent experience.
Desirable criteria
8. Tissue Viability Course
Knowledge and Skills
Essential criteria
9. Demonstrates knowledge and skills in Tissue Viability
10. Good understanding of research, audit and evidence-based practice.
11. Able to work autonomously and as a member of a small team, as well as part of the wider multidisciplinary team.
12. Competent in the use of IT packages
13. Excellent communication skills.
14. Able to prioritise tasks and demonstrate flexibility.
