Job Role We are Recruiting for an Asbestos Bid Writer on behalf of our client. The right candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality, compelling, and compliant bid submissions for asbestos-related projects. This includes drafting responses to pre-qualification questionnaires (PQQs), invitations to tender (ITTs), and other procurement documents, ensuring all submissions meet client requirements and industry regulations. Key Responsibilities * Manage the drafting and delivery of high-quality tender responses and pre-qualification documentation for asbestos removal projects. * Support and manage the bid process to ensure all documents are completed on time and to the highest standard. * Submission of all asbestos tenders via client tender portal * Manage written and pictorial inbound tender information and create a final submission document, with hyperlinks, using a combination of Adobe InDesign and Adobe PDF * Creating front end tender folders, including downloading all tender documents from the CRM system and creating MS Teams group for project team * Assist Preconstruction Manager in stakeholder management; leading bid storyboard sessions, briefing tender opportunities (written and verbal) and ensuring agreed processes followed * Liaise with internal teams and subject matter experts (technical, commercial, operations, legal) to gather required information and develop winning responses. * Write, edit, and proofread bid content, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and compliance with client specifications and relevant legislation. * Tailor each bid to the specific needs of the client, highlighting the company’s strengths and unique selling points. * Develop and maintain a library of standard responses and supporting documents. * Update and create case studies * Creating/updating tender imagery, organograms and supporting diagrams, CV's etc. * Managing incoming tender clarifications and distributing to tender team stakeholders * Completing client PQQ/onboarding forms * Monthly review with Contracts Managers (all 3 regional offices) towards any new significant projects to turn into a case study * Conduct research into client requirements, competitors, and industry trends to inform bid strategy. * Gain feedback on tenders and questionnaires submitted, using this to drive continuous improvement in future bids. * Maintain an effective archive/filing structure for past submissions. Skills & Qualifications Essential: * Minimum 3 years bid writing experience, presently working as a Bid Writer or alternative title. * Proven experience in bid writing, ideally within the asbestos removal industry or as a minimum, asbestos consultancy or construction sectors. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Strong organisational and time management abilities; able to manage multiple deadlines and multiple concurrently running tenders * Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). * Proficient in Microsoft Teams for collaboration and communication. * Experience using Adobe InDesign for document formatting and design. * Ability to interpret technical information and present it clearly and persuasively. * High attention to detail and accuracy. * Team player with strong interpersonal skills. Desirable: Basic knowledge of asbestos industry regulations, health & safety requirements and overall asbestos removal industry. Degree or equivalent qualification in English, Communications, Business, Construction Management, or a related field.
