Senior Engineer - Programme Management

Job description

Responsibilities

1. To support the Principal Engineer in the project management of Capital maintenance and renewal projects including procurement, delivery and administration of the design and construction through procured design and construction frameworks in line with current design standards and in conjunction with SWTRA's quality management processes.
2. To support the Principal Engineer in the management and engagement of multiple service providers including the production and verification of task orders, invoices, works programme and financial forecasting taking into account local constraints.
3. To support the Principal Engineer in the management of the performance management regime for service providers in relation to the administration of design and construction services.
4. To support the Principal Engineer with reviewing of processes and procedures to ensure that financial allocations are utilised efficiently and effectively, and that works are delivered to time cost and quality, without undue public or media reaction.
5. To work closely with SWTRA's Area Operations, Network Management teams, Service Providers and stakeholders to establish, manage and update co-ordinated annual programme of works that comply with Welsh Governments and SWTRA Network occupancy strategy.
6. To assist Welsh Government in the planning and prioritisation of annual programmes of works.
7. It is the responsibility of every employee within the South Wales Trunk Road Agent to comply with the Health and Safety, environmental and quality policies as defined within the SWTRA Integrated Management System.
8. Any other duties required in the delivery of objectives commensurate with the grading of the post.

Welsh Language skills are not required.
