Are you an experienced tax professional ready to take the next step in your career? We are seeking a Senior Tax Manager to lead advisory and compliance services for a diverse private client portfolio at a reputable accountancy firm.
The Role
This senior client-facing position involves managing approximately 900 private tax clients, including high-net-worth individuals, company directors, trusts, estates, and partnerships. You will work closely with Partners to oversee tax planning and support the growth of the firm's tax services.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee compliance for a broad client portfolio with support from the tax team.
* Provide technical leadership on tax planning, especially for HNWIs, trusts, estates, and directors.
* Ensure timely and accurate tax return submissions, monitor deadlines, and advise clients on obligations and legislation changes.
* Maintain high-quality compliance and advisory documentation for Partner review.
* Plan workloads and manage team resources proactively, informing Partners of progress and bottlenecks.
* Build strong client relationships through responsive communication.
* Stay updated on tax legislation and share insights with the team and firm.
* Identify new planning opportunities and contribute to business development.
* Lead or participate in technical projects as required.
What We're Looking For
* Significant experience in personal tax within a practice environment.
* Leadership experience in compliance and advisory work.
* Technical expertise with high-net-worth individuals, trusts, and partnerships.
* CTA qualification (preferred) or equivalent experience with a strong tax track record.
* Commercial awareness and ability to develop trusted client relationships.
* Excellent time management, organizational, and leadership skills.
* Broad understanding of accountancy principles is advantageous.
