Pay and shift patterns
Monday – Thursday 8am – 4.30pm & Friday 8am – 3.45pm
£18.50 per hour
Responsibilities:
* Ensure health and safety is your highest priority and is considered in all plans, actions, and activities. Drive uptake and completion of near misses.
* Contribute to raising the profile of the maintenance team and drive continuous improvement.
* Work closely with the production manager.
* React quickly to breakdowns, communicate clearly with affected parties, and work efficiently to fix issues.
* Fault finding and repair on production equipment.
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance on the full range of equipment within the site.
* Manage contractors and projects onsite.
* Participate in commissioning, development, and improvement of production equipment.
Skills Required:
* Understanding of manufacturing KPIs.
* Experience managing cross-functional teams to deliver requirements.
* Strong leadership skills.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Ability to work independently.
* Willingness to get hands dirty.
Basic Qualifications / Experience:
* Completed a full engineering apprenticeship and/or qualified to a minimum of NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
* Multiskilled in electrical and mechanical disciplines (30/70).
* Experience with planned preventative maintenance systems.
* Experience fault-finding within a manufacturing facility on PLCs and pneumatic systems.
* Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
Preferred Qualifications / Experience:
* Apprentice Trained, HNC, HND, BSc, BEng.
* Experience in manufacturing environments.
