The Firm
Our client, a leading and esteemed law firm, are seeking a Legal Secretary to join their successful Residential Conveyancing team in their Bromley office. The firm is ranked regionally for their work within Real Estate by both the Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners.
The Opportunity
The successful Legal Secretary will provide administrative and secretarial support to Conveyancers within the firm's Residential Property team. The role requires meticulous attention to detail and a proactive and can-do attitude towards work. Duties to include:
* Handle client queries and provide regular updates throughout the transaction process
* Conduct anti-money laundering checks and verify source of funds
* Review mortgage offers and prepare summary reports for clients
* Take client instructions and assist in progressing matters to exchange of contracts
* Prepare files for completion, such as requesting mortgage funds, submitting searches, and drafting completion statements
* Support conveyancers with the residential property transaction process
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records
* Manage incoming calls and emails
* Distribute incoming post and emails, ensuring timely follow-up in the absence of fee earners
* Update client and contact information
* Assist with general client administration and day-to-day operational support
This Legal Secretary position is a full time, permanent role, working Monday - Friday, 9:00am -5:30pm
Requirements
* Previous experience as a Legal Secretary within Residential Conveyancing in a law firm, ideally within a New Build team
