Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 9am until 5pm Job Purpose As a member of the Facilities Support team you will assist with the provision of cleaning and facilities support as required within the DC Thomson office at Meadowside in Dundee. The facilities team are responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the office and maintaining a clean and safe environment for visitors and staff. This role reports to the Office Manager, Estates & Operations. The purpose of this role is to support the Office Manager in general facilities duties as required on a day-to-day basis. No two days will be the same, the job will involve some cleaning, occasional cover for security, meeting room and event set up and general maintenance within the office. The job will be based in our Meadowside Office, and a full driving licence is required as there will be occasional requirement for collection and movement of items between or offices. Given the nature of some of the business operations there may be occasional requirements for work out with normal business hours. General Responsibilities Respond to requests for general facilities support from the Office manager and Reception colleagues/ Maintain the office environment ensuring it remains a clean and tidy. Ensure meeting room are well maintained with fully functioning equipment and supplies. Help organise event space and hospitality when required. Assist the Office Manager with desk moves and other office layout changes. Occasional help with deliveries and couriers. Help with cleaning, waste/confidential waste and recycling regimes. Be aware of Health and Safety standards; identify any hazards and risks. Act as Fire Warden and a First Aider Assist with contractors acting as a building guide. Communicating with the Office Manager all aspects of office operations. As Housekeeper you will ensure that the expected standards of cleanliness are maintained in corridors, lift landings, and all other public walkways always including all fire escapes and staff areas.
