About the Role
As the nursery's Special Educational Needs Coordinator, you will:
* Champion inclusive practice across the setting
* Identify and support children with SEND, ensuring early intervention
* Work closely with staff to develop individual support plans
* Build strong relationships with families, external agencies, and professionals
* Monitor progress, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with the SEND Code of Practice
* Provide training, guidance, and coaching to the wider team
About You
We're looking for someone who:
* Has experience working in an early-years setting
* Holds a relevant early-years qualification (Level 3 or above)
* Has completed, or is willing to complete, recognised SENCO training
* Understands the EYFS and SEND Code of Practice
* Is proactive, organised, and confident in working with children, families, and professionals
* Brings warmth, empathy, and a genuine commitment to inclusive education
