We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Domiciliary Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for seniors and those requiring care, ensuring their comfort and well-being in various settings such as home care settings from home to home. This role requires a blend of empathy, patience, and practical skills to meet the diverse needs of our clients.
More Info
* Monday to Sunday (2/3 days off a week).
* Do NOT need to be a Driver.
* Online Training Required (We can set you up – Costs £40).
* Fully Enhanced DBS Required (Update Service).
Responsibilities
* Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support.
* Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements.
* Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities.
* Administer medication as prescribed and monitor health conditions.
* Assist with heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring the safety of both the caregiver and the client.
* Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
* Document client progress and report any changes in health or behaviour to appropriate personnel.
* Support clients with dementia care by employing effective communication techniques and patience.
Experience
* Previous experience in senior care, home care, or assisted living is highly desirable.
* Familiarity with medical terminology is beneficial for effective communication within a healthcare setting.
* Experience in hospice care or nursing home environments is an advantage.
* A background in caregiving that includes meal preparation and heavy lifting is preferred.
* Candidates should demonstrate a genuine passion for helping others and possess strong interpersonal skills.
