Ready to make a real difference in clinical pharmacy? Do you want to be at the forefront of transforming patient care and shaping the future of pharmacy services in Fife? This is your chance to join a passionate, forward-thinking team and play a key role in delivering excellence. We are seeking an exceptional and motivated pharmacist to join our team in providing a specialist clinical pharmacy service to medical and community hospital areas. The postholder will initially join the Cardiology rotation as part of the wider rotational programme, with each rotation lasting approximately nine months. The programme currently includes rotations in Cardiology, Respiratory, Care of the Elderly, Hospital@Home, and Admissions, giving you the opportunity to broaden your expertise, enhance your clinical skills in both inpatient and outpatient settings and make a tangible impact on patient outcomes. As part of our dynamic team, you’ll: • Lead and inspire within your area, helping to build a collaborative leadership culture. • Drive service development and quality improvement projects that enhance patient care. • Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to champion safe, effective, and optimised medicines use, making every decision count for patient care. • Receive mentorship and support from experienced Senior Clinical Pharmacists and Lead Clinical Pharmacists to help you thrive and achieve your goals. This is a 12 month fixed-term or secondment (line manager approval required) opportunity, perfect for someone looking to develop specialist skills, expand their network, and gain experience in a progressive environment. If you’re passionate about innovation, teamwork, and delivering compassionate care, we’d love to hear from you. The NHS Fife Pharmacy and Medicines Directorate is undergoing an ambitious programme of transformation and integration. It serves a population of approximately 380,000 people and is provided by an integrated team of around 300 Pharmacy staff, including Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Pharmacy Support Workers, Nurses, and Administrators. The team works across Acute and Community hospital sites, General Practices, Mental Health services, and a range of specialist teams. Partnership working is at the core of our values, and we work closely with other members of the multi-disciplinary team, including our Community Pharmacy colleagues, to deliver the highest quality care for everyone in Fife. There are opportunities to become involved in a range of projects across the integrated Pharmacy Directorate as well as shaping the future vision for the service. As part of our staff engagement and leadership, our Pharmacy Senior Leadership hold regular staff briefing sessions to update the team on new developments, celebrate achievements and to hear ideas from our staff. Fife has something to offer everyone and getting to and around Fife is simple, with excellent public transport links from around the UK. This fabulous region is not far from Scotland’s major cities, with Edinburgh just to the south, Dundee and Perth to the north, and Glasgow to the south west. But don’t just take our word for it, why not come for a visit, have a chat and see our wonderful team in action! Please refer to the job pack for details on the role. Existing permanent employees must first discuss this opportunity with their substantive line manager. The secondment policy can be found here Hub • Blink (joinblink.com) If you do not have approval for a secondment from your current line manager, you will not be able to progress your application for a fixed term post. External applicants, with continuous NHS Service, must also have in place a secondment agreement, from their existing board to apply for this post. For further information or to arrange a visit please contact Briana MacKerron briana.mackerron@nhs.scot or telephone VHK switchboard on 01592 643355 (ext. 28317) or John Brown john.brown11@nhs.scot or telephone VHK switchboard on 01592 643355 (ext. 26980) As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week.
