Interim Financial Controller, StaffordPE-Backed Healthcare Business6 Months+The OpportunitySF Partners are supporting a fast-growing, PE-backed healthcare business in the appointment of an Interim Financial Controller.Working closely with the Finance Director and SMT, you will take ownership of the day-to-day finance function while supporting the business through a period of continued growth and change. This is a hands-on role within a dynamic SME environment, offering exposure to forecasting, process improvement, and strategic finance initiatives including M&A and external funding activity.The RoleKey responsibilities include:Leading the day-to-day finance function and managing a small teamProducing timely and accurate monthly management accountsOverseeing AP, AR, payroll, and month-end processesSupporting budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow managementBusiness partnering with operational and senior stakeholdersMaintaining strong financial controls and supporting audit/compliance activityDriving improvements across finance processes, systems, and reportingSupporting strategic decision-making through meaningful financial analysisThe CandidateYou will be a qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with strong Financial Controller experience, ideally gained within an SME or PE-backed environment.You will also demonstrate:Strong technical accounting knowledge (UK GAAP / FRS102)Excellent Excel and financial modelling skillsExperience improving finance processes and controlsA proactive, hands-on approach with strong attention to detailThe ability to communicate effectively with non-finance stakeholdersExperience within healthcare, care, or multi-site businesses would be advantageous.TPBN1_UKTJ
