Role Overview
Location: North England & Scotland
Role: Senior Project Manager – MWE
Role responsibilities include:
* Managing the MWE project and associated delivery team across multiple locations.
* Ensure the cost effective and timely delivery of all contractual obligations and service provisions.
* Lead and direct operational activities to maintain and improve value for money (VFM) for both QinetiQ and EMCOR UK.
* Develop strong relationships with customers, staff and their representatives using Key Account Management principles.
* Lead and inspire delivery teams to meet contractual obligations and stakeholder expectations.
* Conduct joint site inspections and audits with stakeholders; ensure actions are disseminated and closed out in a timely manner.
* Engage in tender activities with the supply chain and partners; develop cost effective delivery solutions for the client.
* Ensure suitable, qualified teams are in place with appropriate HR strategies to recruit, develop, motivate and retain the required management capabilities.
* Develop cost effective mobilisation, transition and operational plans to meet deliverables within agreed timescales.
* Produce and implement project programmes for the MWE works.
* Lead lessons learned reviews and progress meetings with the client and stakeholders.
* Ensure operational activities comply with EMCOR policies and procedures, including: Health, Safety, Quality and the Environment; Financial Reporting; Commercial and legislative; HR and Employee Welfare; EMCOR Standards of Conduct and Code of Ethics.
* Develop an organisational culture reflecting the EMCOR brand and values to create a positive employee relations climate and continuous improvement for the client.
* Promote the image of EMCOR and maintain good relationships with clients, suppliers and external parties.
What You'll Do
* Be responsible for the P&L on the MWE works and to lead and direct operational activities in order to maintain and improve VFM for both QinetiQ and EMCOR UK.
* Develop strong relationships with customers and their representatives applying Key Account Management principles.
* Lead and inspire delivery teams to meet contractual obligations and stakeholder expectations.
* Conduct joint site inspections and audits; disseminate actions and track closure.
* Engage in tender activities with supply chain and partners.
* Deploy HR strategies to recruit, develop, motivate and retain required management capabilities.
* Develop mobilisation, transition and operational plans to meet timescales.
* Produce and implement project programmes for the MWE works.
* Lead lessons learned reviews and progress meetings with the client and stakeholders.
* Ensure activities align with EMCOR policies and procedures.
Essential Experience
* Significant project management experience within the FM, M&E, construction, or engineering sector, including high-value and complex projects.
* Understanding and practical evidence of implementing H&S, CDM guidelines, RIBA framework, design liability, tender process, supply chain selection and control.
* Experience of project financial management and commercial acumen.
* Transformational leadership and management of a multi-disciplinary team, focusing on continuous improvement.
* IT proficiency in project scheduling and software including Microsoft Projects, PowerBI and Visio; (desirable) Simpro, Matterport, Revit and BIM.
* Skills in dealing with internal and external customers and suppliers on complex issues.
* Excellent written and verbal communication at all levels.
Education / Training
* Recognised qualification in Project Management: Prince2, APM, PMP certification.
* City and Guilds or NVQ Level 4 or higher in a relevant FM, Construction or Engineering discipline.
* IOSH certification.
Desirable
* Bachelor’s degree in project or business management or related areas.
* MBA.
* NEBOSH certification.
* CITB SMSTS certification.
* CSCS Black Card.
* CMI Level 5 in Management & Leadership.
* CDM2015 and Building Safety Act training.
