Job Title: Head of Accounts Payable
Location: Anglesey (Hybrid – 3 days office / 2 days remote)
Salary: £65,000 + Bonus
The Role
This is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing a high-volume Accounts Payable function across multiple business units. Based at the group’s head office, you will lead the AP team, ensure efficient end-to-end processes, and maintain strong internal and external relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, manage, and develop the Accounts Payable team, including performance management and ongoing training
Oversee the full AP cycle, ensuring accurate invoice processing and timely supplier payments
Drive continuous improvement across procure-to-pay processes, increasing efficiency and reducing manual intervention
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and system providers
Monitor and report on key metrics such as KPIs, cash flow forecasting, and DPO
Collaborate with Finance, Procurement, Operations, Commercial, and IT teams to optimise processes
Support month-end close activities, ensuring accuracy and adherence to financial controls
Lead or contribute to projects focused on process improvement and system enhancements
Candidate Profile
Proven experience leading an Accounts Payable function or similar finance team
Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop teams
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Process-driven, with a focus on continuous improvement and problem-solving
Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with evolving structures
