Full Time or Part Time
We are now looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to join an award-winning consultancy in Exeter with a considerable share of the local market. This role is unusual as it could be one of two things depending on what you’d prefer, either full or part time with a minimum of three days a week.
Responsibilities would include:
* Assisting in the development of a design team
* Design meetings
* Liaising between contractors and clients
* Project running
* Mentoring of junior team members
* Aiding in the development and expansion of the design team, actively involved in the recruitment process
* Acting as point of contact on structural projects from inception to completion
* Acting as an authority on structural issues and problem solving
* Report writing
* Utilising your experience by running your own complex and challenging projects
* Hands on design and site visits
My client is preferably looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:
* Chartered or approaching chartered member of the ICE or IStructE
* Experience with software packages such as Tekla suites
* Knowledge of BIM
* Experience with a variety of building structures
* Knowledge of Eurocodes
* Experience with all traditional materials such as RC and Steel
