Senior Paediatric - Emergency Nurse Practitioner
To work autonomously within UTC as a fully qualified, experienced Senior Paediatric Emergency Nurse Practitioner. The role will involve working autonomously within a framework of practice to deliver high‑standard care to children attending the Halton (Runcorn) UTC. Closing date 20 May 2026.
Main Duties
* Work autonomously without supervision in the provision of care to clients.
* Act as a mentor to pre and post registration nurses, allied health professionals and unqualified students.
* Demonstrate flexibility and the ability to work across a range of shift patterns.
* Participate in education, development and line management of other staff members.
* Be an effective team player within the interdependent unit, operating flexibly across both units as required.
* Co‑ordinate UTC and day‑to‑day management of staffing.
* Participate in improvement of services and quality‑of‑care provision, ensuring quality indicators are met.
Job Responsibilities
Work autonomously within Runcorn UTC as a Senior Practitioner. Deliver high‑standard care to adults and children. Cross‑site working required between Runcorn UTC and Warrington ED Minors.

Experience
* Evidence of ability to work autonomously
* Evidence of own clinical decision making
* Previous Band 7 Experience within UTC
* Chronic disease management
* Research and audit experience
