As they continue to scale, we are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Financial Controller. This pivotal role will allow you to play a critical part in shaping both operational and strategic financial management across our UK operations. Working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, you will have the opportunity to influence key financial decisions and be supported by the Regional Head of Controlling.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the preparation and ownership of monthly management accounts and financial reporting for the UK business.
* Assist with the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis to aid senior management in decision-making processes.
* Oversee cash flow management, providing actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
* Prepare year-end audit files and liaise with external auditors to ensure a smooth audit process.
* Develop and enhance financial models and reporting tools to drive business performance and ensure data accuracy.
* Support and mentor finance team members, fostering their professional development and growth within the organisation.
* Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
Key Skills & Experience:
* CA/ACCA/CIMA fully qualified accountant.
* Proven experience in preparing and analysing monthly financial reports, managing P&L and balance sheets.
* Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills, able to provide insights and recommendations based on financial data.
* Confident communicator, able to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, from operational staff to senior leadership.
* Highly proactive with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities and work independently.
* Knowledge of construction, manufacturing, or project-based finance is a plus.
* A keen ability to drive continuous improvements in financial processes and business performance.
