Shift Engineers for Our Brand-New Food Production Facility! We have a permanent opportunities for Shift Engineers reporting to the Engineering Shift Manager. The role is working 4 on / 4 off days and nights (42 hours per week). The Shift Engineer plays a key role within the department, responsible for the proactive development and delivery of all site engineering functions at a large food production plant. The role responsibilities are but not limited to: ·Support the Shift Engineering Manager ·Development of site engineering practices ·Resolve engineering issues through the engineering team ·Implement standard of maintenance of the plant/site ·Management of workload and daily tasks set by the Engineering Manager ·Ensure fast and efficient response under breakdown conditions ·Quickly diagnose faults and rectify ·Sharing site specific knowledge ·Promote working relationships engineering and all other departments ·Promote and encourage continuous improvement ·Ensure all duties carried out with due regard to policies and procedures ·Ensure planned maintenance work is completed to a strict time schedule ·Clear communication and a can-do attitude ·Adhere to the company’s H&S policies and procedures ·Adhere to the company’s Hygiene policies and procedures Candidates should have concluded a time served apprenticeship in multi-skilled maintenance or an electrically biased apprenticeship or equivalent. Ideally candidates will have a production/manufacturing background with experience within an F.M.C.G being advantageous. The successful candidate will be comfortable working unsupervised or as part of a team, willing to work a continental shift pattern covering days, nights and weekends as well as a flexible approach to overtime
