Opportunity:
This is a key commercial role responsible for managing sales across Anglia and the East Midlands. The Regional Business Manager will develop and grow sales of a leading range of forage inoculants and yeast-based solutions through a combination of direct farm engagement, distributor management, and technical sales support.
Responsibilities:
* Manage regional territory to maximize sales and profitability of branded products.
* Develop strong relationships with distributors, agents, and key farm customers.
* Deliver agreed sales targets and margin objectives.
* Support and train distributor representatives and agents on product knowledge and technical selling.
* Conduct on-farm service support including forage sampling and analysis.
* Coordinate and contribute to local marketing initiatives such as agricultural shows and distributor events.
* Provide technical presentations to farmer groups and influencers on forage production and ruminant nutrition.
* Collaborate with marketing, product management, and customer service teams to ensure high-quality customer experience.
* Attend national exhibitions and regional meetings representing the company.
* Partner with the Finance team on debtor control, ensuring timely collections and healthy AR for the territory
* Attend and contribute to regular national sales meetings, sharing territory performance, pipeline, and best practices.
* Deliver agreed personal development objectives in line with company standards.
Candidate Requirements:
* Minimum 2 years of technical sales experience within the dairy or ruminant feed sector.
* Strong understanding of forage production, silage management, and ruminant nutrition.
* Proven success in sales to farmers or agricultural distributors.
* Strong IT literacy (Microsoft Office, CRM systems).
* A degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, or a related discipline is preferred.
* Experience with feed rationing or diet formulation would be an advantage.
* FAR accreditation or knowledge of monogastric nutrition would be beneficial.
* Exposure to key account management and distributor training would be an asset.
* Proven B2B sales management experience with farmers/distributors; full UK driving licence
