Job Summary
As a Deputy Manager in our supported accommodation provision, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations and ensuring high-quality support for our young people. You will work closely with the Manager to maintain a safe and supportive environment for our young people.
Duties
- Supervising staff in providing high quality support for our young people
- Assisting with the management of day-to-day activities within the provision
- Supporting and liaising with professionals, families, and young people
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
- Managing administrative tasks related to supported accommodation in line with OFSTED regulations
- Providing leadership and guidance to staff members
Requirements
- Experience in Residential Children's Care homes and/or Post 16 Supported Accommodation
-Knowledge of specific issues affecting young people, such as substance abuse, mental health, and homelessness.
- Knowledge of Special Educational Needs
- Strong leadership and managerial skills
- Ability to manage and motivate a team effectively
- A NVQ Level 3 of equivalent in Residential Childcare
Desired
* Experience in crisis management and de-escalation techniques.
-Experience in working with young people from diverse backgrounds.
-NVQ Level 5 or equivalent in Residential Child Care
