Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Clerk to join our team at Lobina Transport Services Ltd. This role is essential in supporting our logistics operations through accurate data entry and effective communication. The Clerk will play a vital part in ensuring smooth transportation processes and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities
* Perform accurate data entry for shipments, customs clearances, and logistics records.
* Assist in preparing customs and shipping documents, declarations, and reports.
* Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, customs authorities, and internal teams.
* Support lead generation efforts to expand our client base.
* Utilise software systems for tracking shipments, managing customs tasks, and maintaining compliance.
* Maintain organised records of transactions, compliance files, and communications.
Working Hours, Flexibility & Location
This role supports a time-critical customs operation, and therefore requires a high level of flexibility.
* This is a remote or hybrid role, designed to support rapid response to customs needs.
* You must be available to work outside normal business hours, including evenings, nights, weekends, and bank holidays when required by operational demand.
* On-call duties will be required for one week every three weeks, during which you must respond immediately to urgent customs tasks.
* Work patterns may vary depending on customs workloads, and a 24/7 response capability is essential to fulfil the expectations of this position.
Requirements
* Proven experience in data entry, administration, or customs roles—preferably within logistics or transport services.
* Strong attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills.
* Intermediate understanding of customs and logistics processes/terminology.
* Familiarity with transport management or customs software is an advantage.
* Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid environment with time-sensitive responsibilities.
