Functions
1. Assistthe Registered Manager in the operational management of designatedtherapeutic childrens homes.
2. Lead train andsupervise Residential Therapeutic Care Workers and Therapeutic TeamLeaders.
3. Ensure compliance with Childrens HomesRegulations 2015 and internalpolicies.
4. Maintain consistent care aligned withtraumainformed intervention models.
5. Collaboratewith the clinical team to achieve positive outcomes for childrenand young people.
6. Provide supervision andsupport to Residential Therapeutic CareWorkers.
7. Promote an organizational culturecentered on Christian Core Values.
8. Overseestaffing resources and shift duties ensuring adequatecoverage.
9. Maintain high standards of writtenrecords and documentation.
10. Represent theorganization at internal and externalmeetings.
11. Identify and escalate safeguardingconcerns.
12. Ensure health and safety standardsare upheld.
13. Participate in oncall response andliaise with key partners and agencies.
14. Supportstaff professional development and awareness of sectorissues.
15. Undertake designated projects and tasksas assigned.
16. Provide cover and support asrequired by the managementteam.
Requirements
* Provenexperience of working with young people aged 5 18 in a socialcare/residential or educational setting.
* Atleast 1 years previous demonstrable management and supervisoryexperience (level 3) or 18 24 months experience to work in a level1 and 2 level home.
* Experience in conflictresolution adherence to policies and procedures engaging andmotivating young people handling stressful and challengingsituations appropriately and supportingstaff.
* Knowledge of relevant Childrens Homes2015 Regulations childcare legislation child safeguarding policiesand procedures child development and complexities of groupliving.
* At least Level 4 Childrens Health andSocial Care related qualification and willingness to undertakefurther training and development.
* First Aidqualification including pediatric or willingness to obtain withinthe probation period.
* Ability to manage homesallocate duties supervise staff adhere to financial regulationscommunicate effectively make informed decisions work independentlyand as part of a team and maintain professionalrelationships.
* Full driving licensepreferred.
