Job Title: Private Client Paralegal

The Client
A well-established, highly regarded Manchester law firm is seeking a driven and experienced Private Client Paralegal to join its expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with strong technical knowledge and a commitment to delivering a premium service to a diverse portfolio of clients, including high-net-worth individuals and complex estates.
The role will involve hands‑on responsibility and progression opportunities within a supportive department that values expertise, autonomy, and continued professional development. The successful candidate will work closely with senior fee‑earners, partners, and private wealth specialists, gaining exposure to sophisticated planning matters and high-value work.
Key responsibilities
* Managing files and assisting with a broad range of private client matters including wills, trusts, probate, LPAs, and estate administration
* Drafting wills, powers of attorney, trust deeds, probate applications, letters of administration, estate accounts, and related documentation
* Supporting with complex and multi‑jurisdictional estates, tax planning matters, and trust administration
* Conducting legal research and preparing internal notes and client briefings
* Coordinating with executors, trustees, beneficiaries, accountants, financial advisors, and external counsel
* Handling client onboarding, file management, compliance tasks, and administrative duties as required
* Maintaining professional service delivery and contributing to client care initiatives within the team
Requirements
* Prior experience in private client work, ideally within a reputable law firm
* Strong understanding of wills, probate, trusts, LPAs, estate administration, and inheritance tax considerations
* Confident in handling files with minimal supervision and prioritising competing deadlines
* Excellent technical drafting, research, and organisational skills
* Professional demeanour with strong communication and client‑care capability
* STEP qualification or working towards STEP desirable, but not essential
