What you will do
* Respond to initial referrals and enquiries, assessing risk and determining the level of intervention required.
* Undertake statutory assessments, including Child and Family Assessments, in line with the Children Act 1989 and local safeguarding procedures.
* Manage a caseload of children and families subject to Child in Need (Section 17) and Child Protection (Section 47) processes.
* Participate in strategy discussions, child protection conferences, and core group meetings, ensuring effective multi-agency collaboration.
Person Specification
* Qualifications: Degree in Social Work (BA/MA or equivalent) with evidence of continued professional development.
* Registration and Compliance: Registered with Social Work England; knowledge of relevant legislation and frameworks including the Children Act 1989 and 2004, and Working Together to Safeguard Children.
* Enhanced DBS Clearance: Required for all candidates to ensure safety and compliance.
