An SME Contractor based in Lincolnshire is currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their operational team. This well-established company operates across the UK and is experiencing significant growth. They plan to deliver a wide range of projects to expand their prestigious portfolio, including builds and refurbishments across sectors like education, healthcare, public sector, leisure, residential, and hospitality. They are looking for a skilled Project / Site Manager to manage upcoming projects within their growing construction team.
Your new role
As Project Manager, you will oversee the construction process from inception to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to high standards. You will work with internal teams, external stakeholders, and contractor teams. Projects may include large-scale commercial schemes such as warehouses, commercial buildings, and MOD work.
Responsibilities include
1. Managing construction projects from start to finish.
2. Planning and implementing projects effectively.
3. Managing and appointing contractor teams.
4. Scheduling and overseeing work programmes.
5. Attending site visits, including pre-start meetings and snagging.
6. Ensuring health & safety standards are met.
7. Liaising with landlords, surveyors, design consultants, and legal teams.
8. Communicating with stakeholders and providing progress reports.
What you'll need to succeed
A successful candidate will have experience managing commercial projects valued up to £5m, with a proven track record of delivering multiple projects from £10k to £5m. You should possess excellent communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for quality and safety. Flexibility to travel is required. Technical proficiency and IT literacy are essential. Experience in both new build and refurbishment sectors is preferred.
