The purpose of your job is to… meet and exceed sales objectives of a specific geographic region through management, training, motivation, support, and guidance of the territory sales engineers within that area.
To do this well you must… provide supportive and high-quality service to all technical sales engineers under your management, while proactively addressing the evolving needs of our organization.
Your responsibilities are…
* Manage the sales function and its strategy with confidence and vision to achieve organizational objectives.
* Think creatively and innovatively about cost-effective ways to deliver sales development and improvement to meet the business's growing needs.
* Promote a high level of service to customers, recognizing that failure may lead to loss of business or missed opportunities; this may require out-of-hours efforts when necessary.
* Prioritize and address diverse and urgent needs to meet organizational goals.
* Continuously improve sales service provision.
* Manage and maximize the sales budget, balancing cost-saving measures with necessary expenditures to meet objectives.
* Support technical sales engineers by providing training and best practices to enable effective work.
* Contribute expertise in preparing, analyzing, and providing sales data.
Carry out other duties as reasonably required.
Attributes Essential Desirable
Qualifications
* Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent
Experience
* At least three to five years of individual sales experience in business-to-business sales, with documented performance including total sales, growth, and rankings
* Experience managing salespeople is preferred, though other management experience may suffice
* Experience in recruiting, hiring, training personnel, and performance evaluations
* Experience in analyzing and reporting sales data
* Providing proactive, first-class customer service
* Driving improvements to meet organizational goals
* Supporting field workers effectively
* Knowledge of the belting industry
