SEN Casework Officer
Location: East Midlands (Hybrid/Local Authority Office)
Contract: Full-time, Temporary (3 months)
Hours: 37 per week
Pay: £280 per day (umbrella)
Interviews: Week commencing 13/04
About the Role:
We are recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority in the East Midlands for 2x SEN Casework Officers. These roles focus on managing complex cases for children and young people with significant Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and progress casework to achieve effective outcomes for children and young people with complex SEN
Facilitate multi-agency working in line with the Children and Families Act 2014
Chair EHC Assessment Decision-Making Panels
Devise, implement, and monitor alternative education programmes
Ensure EHCPs and Notes in Lieu are completed to a high standard and within statutory timeframes
Support SEN team projects and service improvement initiatives⚠️ Please note: No tribunal responsibilities are attached to this post.
Person Specification:
Experience in SEN casework or related education roles
Strong knowledge of SEN legislation and statutory requirements
Excellent organisational, communication, and multi-agency collaboration skills
