Job Purpose
To support the smooth running of the kitchen by ensuring all utensils, equipment, and work areas are kept clean, hygienic, and ready for use. The Kitchen Assistant / Pot Washer plays a key role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and assisting the kitchen team where required.
Key Responsibilities
* Wash pots, pans, trays, cutlery, crockery, and other kitchen equipment to a high standard.
* Operate dishwashing machinery and ensure it is cleaned and maintained correctly.
* Keep kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas clean, tidy, and safe.
* Assist chefs with basic food preparation tasks when required, such as peeling, chopping, or portioning.
* Empty bins and follow correct waste disposal and recycling procedures.
* Adhere to all food hygiene, health, and safety regulations at all times.
* Report any maintenance issues or equipment faults promptly.
* Work as part of a team to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly during busy service periods.

Salary
In line with National Minimum Wage/National Living Wage
Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract
