Overview
Oculus Legal Group is working in partnership with a well-established and highly regarded regional law firm to recruit a Medical Negligence Solicitor into its growing specialist team.
The firm is currently experiencing a significant increase in workload, driven by strong referrer relationships and an ambitious 3-year growth plan launched in 2025. As part of this continued expansion, they are looking to bring in an additional lawyer to strengthen the team and ensure continued high standards of client service.

The Team
You will be joining an established Legal 500 raked Medical Negligence team of 9, supported by dedicated administrative staff. The team is known internally for its strong culture, collaborative approach, and emphasis on ensuring all members feel supported and valued.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a varied caseload of claimant medical negligence matters from instruction through to resolution.
* Work closely with medical experts, counsel, and other professionals to progress cases effectively.
* Deliver a high level of client care, maintaining regular and empathetic communication.
* Contribute to achieving the best possible outcomes through strong litigation and negotiation skills.
* Support the wider team, with opportunities to assist in mentoring more junior colleagues.
Requirements:
* Ideally 2+ years’ experience in medical negligence or a similar litigation background.
* Open to Solicitors, Legal Executives, and those qualifying via alternative routes.
* Candidates from other litigation backgrounds looking to transition into medical negligence will be considered.
* Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine “people-first” approach.
* A team player who will contribute positively to a collaborative working environment.
