Part-Time Purchasing Administrator (Temporary - 3 Months)
Location: Begbroke, Oxford, UK
Hours: Minimum 20 hours per week
Pay Rate: £14.35 - £15.35 per hour
I am currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established organisation for a Part-Time Purchasing Administrator to join their team on an initial 3-month temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced purchasing or administration professional to contribute to a busy and fast-paced production environment.
Reporting directly to the Senior Buyer, you will play a key role in supporting production operations by ensuring the timely availability of materials through effective purchase order management and supplier coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage and review the purchase order book to ensure materials are available to meet production demands
2. Proactively liaise with suppliers to progress outstanding purchase orders and update internal systems
3. Confirm material availability for new product prototype work orders
4. Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal departments
Key Skills & Experience:
5. Approximately 3 years' experience within a purchasing or supply chain environment
6. Strong negotiation and communication skills
7. Working knowledge of MRP systems
8. Highly organised with a results-driven mindset and the ability to use initiative
9. Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team
10. Proven ability to deliver in a challenging commercial environment
11. Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills
12. Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, and ethical working practices
