Salary from £45,000 p.a. dependent upon experience
£1000 signing bonus! (paid to direct applicants only after 6 months continuous service)

What you will do
Manage the GVS process from planning to invoice/claim closure, ensuring adherence to the standard OTI process. Oversee service and repair work to meet time and quality standards, and ensure invoice/claim documents are complete and accurate. Focus on customer expectations, job profitability, and workshop productivity to optimize workshop profitability.
Main Tasks:
* Adhere to Volvo Service process steps at all times.
* Conduct regular process reviews with your manager to identify and rectify operational issues.
* Manage service department performance to achieve KPI targets.
* Plan workshop/support resources to fulfill OTI process requirements per shift.
* Support CSR/Workshop Supervisors in job specification, codification, and quoting tasks.
* Ensure invoice/claim closure tasks are accurate and timely.
* Assist Workshop Supervisors with complex job specifications and customer agreements.
* Manage handovers of complex or contentious jobs to ensure customer buy-in.
* Hold daily production meetings to plan workload and resources, review issues, and implement solutions.
* Anticipate production problems and support workload management.
* Monitor staff performance and identify development needs using the PBP process.
* Perform competence assessments and develop plans to address gaps.
* Provide timely training to bridge competency gaps.
* Manage productive wage submissions monthly.
* Control lost and non-available hours in line with KPIs.
* Assist in producing the annual business plan.
* Ensure compliance with Volvo Group UK health, safety, quality, and environmental standards.
* Manage scheduled customer meetings.
* Perform other duties as reasonably requested by your manager.
Who are you?
Requirements:
* Experience in the motor vehicle industry, preferably with a technical background in a commercial workshop.
* Full knowledge of VOSA requirements and MOT testers manual.
* Leadership experience in managing teams.
* Knowledge of workshop KPIs.
Education / Professional Qualifications:
* City and Guilds, NVQ 3, or equivalent in Motor Vehicle Technology.
* Relevant industry experience.
