Construction Project Managers to cover the South and the South East of England.
About the role
We are looking for a dynamic and highly organized Construction Project Manager to manage multiple concurrent construction projects across diverse programmes in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience handling high project volumes, balancing competing priorities, and driving efficiency while ensuring quality, safety, and budget compliance.
What you'll do
Key Responsibilities:
Programme & Multi-Project Coordination:
Oversee and manage multiple construction projects simultaneously across our ambitious delivery programme.
Prioritise resources, timelines, and tasks to optimise delivery and meet challenging deadlines.
Coordinate with stakeholders from across the business to align project goals with broader business objectives.
Project Planning & Execution:
Develop and maintain project programmes ensuring these are kept up to date and communicated to PMO.
Manage and build key supplier relationships ensuring that performance meets IVC expectations and escalate non-performance according.
Quickly identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to maintain momentum.
Financial Management:
Monitor and control budgets across multiple projects, ensuring cost efficiencies and profitability.
Review tenders, negotiate contracts, and manage costs in line with approval processes and programme budgets.
Stakeholder & Team Management:
Lead diverse project teams across different sites, ensuring consistent communication and collaboration.
Engage regularly with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to maintain transparency and alignment.
Quality, Safety & Risk Control:
Enforce strict adherence to H&S and quality standards across all projects.
Proactively identify risks related to programmes, resource constraints, and compliance and develop mitigation strategies.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement:
Provide comprehensive progress reports, highlighting risks, delays, and resource needs to the senior team.
Drive process improvements and best practices to enhance delivery efficiency in a high-volume environment.
Qualifications:
Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline.
5+ years managing multiple concurrent construction projects in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
Strong organisational skills with proven ability to multitask and prioritise in a dynamic environment.
Experience using project/programme management tools (e.g. MS Project).
Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
Ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
