Our Directors play a key role in managing programmes across accounts. We seek visionary leaders with a deep understanding of therapy and scientific fields who can lead and develop high-performing teams to produce impactful medical content and grow business opportunities. Directors shape the future of accounts and foster a dynamic, supportive environment for innovative projects. They may specialize in content development, team leadership, team development, and strategic thinking.
Key Responsibilities
* Therapy area and scientific expertise: Lead teams across accounts, contribute through others, and co-create high-quality medical content across multiple therapy areas, ensuring client expectations are met or exceeded.
* Strategic thinking: Define strategies for accounts and new business proposals in collaboration with senior team members; present briefs to internal and external audiences.
* AI: Oversee the integration of AI into new projects and initiatives across at least one account.
* Client relationships: Serve as a trusted advisor, engaging regularly with clients in various capacities.
* Managing and advising: Build, develop, and manage teams to deliver high-quality work efficiently, even under pressure; ensure a robust environment for project development; identify opportunities for business support.
The Director, Medical Publications, has additional responsibilities:
* Strategic publication planning: Develop and implement comprehensive publication strategies aligned with client objectives; analyze clinical and scientific data; serve as the primary contact for publication projects; support business growth through proposals and pitches.
* Content excellence: Lead the writing and editing of manuscripts, abstracts, and presentations; mentor medical writers.
* Quality standards: Ensure all deliverables meet scientific, ethical, and style standards; promote quality and best practices internally; identify training needs.
Qualifications and Skills
* Experience in medical education, managing multiple medical writing teams, and client interaction.
* Profound understanding of healthcare, science, medicine, and the pharmaceutical industry.
* Preferably, a current or former CMPP qualification.
* High academic achievement.
* Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
