What will you be doing as our new Graduate (SuDS Design Engineer)?As a Graduate (SuDS Design Engineer), you’ll play a key role in delivering innovative Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) across the Anglian Water region — from schools and highways to parks and public spaces.Key Responsibilities:Assist in developing concept, outline, and detailed SuDS designs using Civil3D and InfoDrainageCollaborating with internal teams (modelling, CAD, construction, landscape architects)Support in liaising with local authorities, highways, schools, and community groups to co-design solutionsSupporting construction by fulfilling Designer responsibilities under CDM 2015Under how we apply CIRIA guidance, British Standards, and Anglian Water design frameworksSupport in creating safe, buildable, and maintainable SuDS designs with long-term performance in mind What we’re looking forYou’ll bring:A degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (2:1 minimum)Confidence working in retrofit and constrained urban environmentsAn understanding of drainage design standards and health & safety principlesStrong communication skills to engage technical teams and external stakeholdersA collaborative mindset and passion for sustainable, green infrastructure Caring and investing in youOur values have been embedded at Barhale for over 40 years and they are our guiding principle regarding how we care and invest in people.
