Role Overview
Personal Assistants support adults with learning disabilities in a community of 22 houses. They work as part of a team to provide individualised care, positive behavioural support, and help residents develop social networks.
Responsibilities
* Assist residents with personal care, medication, finances and housework.
* Provide moving and handling support and positive behavioural assistance.
* Facilitate community access and social activities.
* Work independently and collaboratively with a team to meet support plans and safety standards.
* Attend 24‑hour on‑site support shifts as required.
Qualifications
* No prior care experience is required; we value transferable skills and values.
* Ability to adapt communication style to build relationships with residents.
* Commitment to work through personal support plans and celebrate residents' successes.
* Positive, flexible outlook, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
