GP Accounts and Tax Manager Location: South West Contract: Permanent Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum Start Date: ASAP Contact: rachel.burgess@servicecare.org.uk Job Description Service Care Solutions are recruiting on behalf of an accountancy firm in the South West for a GP Accounts and Tax Manager to join the team on a permanent basis. The postholder will oversee GP accounts and tax matters, provide trusted financial advice to clients, and ensure full compliance across tax and pension-related reporting obligation. Key Responsibilities Manage and review GP accounts, tax returns, superannuation certificates, and annual PCSE submissions to ensure accuracy and compliance. Liaise with NHS bodies regarding Annual Allowance Pension Savings Statements (AAPSS) and complete associated pension calculations and RPPS reporting requirements. Build strong client relationships by delivering proactive advice on tax matters, drawings, withdrawals, and financial planning considerations. Collaborate with internal UK and offshore teams to support workflow management, process improvements, and ongoing team development initiatives. Candidate Criteria Previous experience working within an accounting or tax role supporting GP clients and NHS Pension Scheme requirements. Strong knowledge of UK tax compliance, accounting regulations, and filing processes, ideally within a GP or healthcare-focused client environment. Excellent organisational, communication, and client management skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively. Qualified by experience or degree-qualified in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, with a proactive and collaborative approach to work.
