Overview
Power Platform Architect — 6 Month contract initially + Extensions. Based: Wokingham onsite. Rate: £Market rates p/d (via Umbrella company).

You will lead the architecture, design, governance, and end‑to‑end delivery of scalable enterprise solutions on Microsoft Power Platform. This role demands deep technical leadership, strong architectural decision‑making, hands-on prototyping capabilities, and the ability to influence platform strategy, standards, and adoption across the enterprise.
Responsibilities
* Architecture & Solution Design: Define end-to-end architecture for Power Platform solutions (Canvas Apps, Model-Driven Apps, Power Pages, Automate flows, Dataverse, and integrations); design enterprise-grade Dataverse schemas, relationships, business rules, and governance structures; develop solution blueprints, logical/physical architecture diagrams, ERDs, and integration maps; evaluate functional requirements and translate them into secure, scalable, and performant platform architectures.
* Governance, Security & Compliance: Establish governance frameworks including ALM strategy, environments, DLP policies, CoE alignment, RBAC, and Azure AD access models; ensure compliance with enterprise security, data classification, and audit requirements; define standards for connectors, environment variables, connectors security, and API usage.
* Technical Leadership: Guide development teams on Power Apps (Canvas & Model-driven), Automate workflows, Dataverse, and Power Pages; review solution designs, troubleshoot complex architectural issues, and ensure best practices; lead capacity planning, performance tuning, telemetry, monitoring, and optimization efforts.
* Integration & Enterprise Connectivity: Architect integrations using Azure Functions, Service Bus, Logic Apps, API Management, Custom Connectors, Graph API, and on‑prem data gateways; design secure integration patterns (OAuth, managed identities, service principals).
* Delivery & Stakeholder Partnership: Lead technical workshops, architecture boards, and solution demo forums; collaborate with business stakeholders to refine requirements and ensure alignment; oversee UAT, production cutovers, release management, and lifecycle governance.

* Core Expertise: Power Platform Architecture (Canvas Apps, Model-Driven Apps, Power Pages, PCF), Dataverse Schema Design & Optimization, Power Automate Cloud Flows (complex workflows, state machines, API calls), Integration Architecture (Azure Functions, API Management, Custom Connectors), Security & Governance (RBAC, DLP, CoE, Azure AD, environment strategy), ALM / DevOps (Solutions, pipelines, Git, branching, automated deployments), Performance & Scalability Tuning
* Additional Desirable Skills: Azure cloud architecture certifications (AZ‑305, PL‑600, PL‑400), experience with enterprise transformation projects, knowledge of Microsoft CoE Toolkit, monitoring & telemetry (App Insights, Log Analytics), PCF control development experience
Key Skills & Experience
* Ideally 10+ years in enterprise solution architecture
* Ideally 5+ years specialising in Power Platform, including Dataverse-heavy solutions
* Led at least two large-scale enterprise implementations as Power Platform Architect
* Strong stakeholder management and communication capabilities
* Expertise in defining governance & operating models for citizen developers and enterprise teams
