An excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Fitter to join a well-established company based in Blaydon-On-Tyne!
Starting Salary:£18.00 - £22.00 per hour depending on experience with additional responsibility payments. Enhanced overtime rates.
The Company
With over 40 years of industry experience, we are a trusted electrical/mechanical contractor serving the electrical supply industry and major energy consumers across the UK. We specialise in the repair, refurbishment, and installation of power transformers and associated high-voltage (HV) equipment.
Due to a rapidly growing order book, we are now seeking a experienced Mechanical Fitters to join our multi-skilled team, working in high voltage substations throughout the UK.
The Role
* Refurbishment, maintenance, and installation of Power Transformers and related HV equipment
* Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard
* Adhering to and completing safety and quality paperwork
* Participating in ongoing training to gain skills for specific tasks
Candidate Requirement
* Mechanical fitter with solid technical competence
* A broad trade knowledge is essential
* Experience with power transformers or HV substations is advantageous but not essential
* Willingness to work away from home and complete further training to aid future development
Additional Information
* Work is primarily away from home, with occasional weekend and bank holiday work
* Lodging allowance and nightly expenses are covered while working away
* Pay is competitive and based on experience
* All necessary training (including authorisation for UK electricity companies) will be provided
