This role is vital for the smooth daily operation of the school, ensuring that the buildings and extensive grounds provide a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for both pupils and staff. Core Responsibilities Site Security: Acting as a primary key-holder, responsible for the daily unlocking and securing of the site, including managing intruder and fire alarms. General Maintenance: Carrying out minor repairs, painting, and DIY tasks. Overseeing the work of external contractors when required. Compliance: Conducting routine health and safety checks, including water temperature monitoring (Legionella), emergency lighting, and fire bell tests. Requirements & Compensation Essential: Previous experience in a caretaking, trade, or site-maintenance role. A good understanding of Health and Safety regulations.
