Location: South West WalesApproach Personnel are currently recruiting for an experienced Commercial Manager to support a growing portfolio of Transmission & Renewables projects across South Wales and the South West.This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong commercial background within utilities, infrastructure, or energy projects who enjoys managing multiple projects while leading and developing high-performing teams.The successful candidate will oversee the commercial function across tenders and live projects, working closely with operational teams to drive performance, manage risk, and ensure successful project delivery across transmission and substation works.The role will be based between the main head office and regional site visits across South Wales and the South West.What Youll Be DoingManaging the commercial strategy and delivery across multiple projects and tendersWorking closely with Portfolio Managers to maximise commercial performanceLeading tender reviews while identifying commercial risks and opportunitiesProducing CVRs, forecasts, and progress reports for senior leadership teamsManaging procurement activities and ensuring contractual complianceSupporting Finance and Project Teams with forecasting and cashflow managementBuilding and maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliersLeading, mentoring, and developing commercial teams across the regionDriving continuous improvement and commercial performance across projectsWhat Were Looking ForProven experience working in a similar Commercial Manager positionStrong commercial experience within utilities, infrastructure, transmission, or energy projectsExperience working on National Grid or substation projects would be highly advantageousDegree qualificationStrong knowledge of NEC3/NEC4, JCT, and FIDIC contractsExperience reviewing and negotiating contract terms with clientsExcellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skillsGood understanding of project controls and programme managementPrevious people management and team development experienceFull UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel across regional sitesWhat's on OfferFlexible and supportive working environmentCompany car and fuel card with EV and hybrid options availablePrivate healthcare and healthcare cash plan for you and your familyDiscretionary bonus schemeEnhanced pension scheme25 days annual leave plus bank holidaysLong-term career progression opportunities within a growing businessThis is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Commercial Manager looking to join a growing infrastructure business delivering major transmission and renewable energy projects across the UK.TPBN1_UKTJ
